I've been getting really into photography, I took photography for the past three years straight. I've used a point-and-shoot camera that has worked pretty well, but it was recently stolen at the airport. I have thought, since I already have to get a new camera, maybe I should upgrade to a digital SLR. I've done some research and T1i sounds like a really good deal … but is it too much for me? (Not that I think it can not be stolen. Lol.)

I have a Nikon N70 film camera-like in the body and lens it came with. First off I am good with just that or should I buy a new lens, etc, etc to give it an upgrade? It seems like a nice fully manual film camera, but when I go into camera stores, I can see a huge price difference. Digital SLR's can be as much as $ 1,000 easy. Is it really worth the money or do I just stick with Photoshop? (Sorry, but a lot of questions in one:])

I've been wanting to upgrade from an EOS 10S to a 20D or 30D. I would like to keep the 10S but if I can find a decent trade offer that I do not have a problem giving up my 10S. Does anyone know if there is decent trade-in deals out there for upgrading from one Film to a digital SLR? Thank you.
